I do not know your experience, nor can I walk in your shoes, but I know that the glorification of the US killing machine will only lead to more wounded warriors, more flag-draped coffins, and more grieving mothers. Maybe it is time to try something else.

You are projecting your feelings about the Iraq war onto a movie that was representative of one man’s experience. And an experience, for those of us who were there, which was quite accurately portrayed. If you want to pass judgement on the war, pass judgement on the war, but do not shift your feelings onto a man who you never knew, never met, yet somehow have the confidence to reduce his entire experience to the usage of the word “savage”, which given the context of hyper-violence in Iraq – was quite accurate and benign. Furthermore, you have not actually seen the movie, so your opinion is about as valid as any commentator on Fox news who pontificates about things completely outside of their experience or understanding. This was prattle, at its finest.
