This is the most lopsided, twisted and biased narrative of the Palestinians’ plight that one can ever come across. The writer, understandably an ex-US ambassador, comes across as someone adhering to a previous agenda blaming the victims rather than the perpetrators for the worst systematic acts of colonialism; apartheid and ethnic cleansing practiced by an oppressive occupier. The solution LIES Squarely in respecting and applying international law; enforcing Israel by invoking Chapter VII of the UN Charter to implement the more than 70 UN resolutions gathering dust over the years, starting, first and foremost, with the UNCONDITIONAL end of the illegal Israeli occupation of the Palestinian Territories. The US Government and NOT the Palestinians who a priori ought to get their acts together: 1) Respecting and applying international law; 2) Cease applying vetoes blocking UN Security Resolutions to sanctioning Israel; and, 3) Cease the unconditional financial, military, diplomatic and political support to an Israel in violation of international law. There, where Mr. Ambassador the priorities lie.
