Dr. Hoda Amer is an Egyptian-American board-certified anatomic pathologist and cytopathologist. Dr. Amer grew up in international communities and developed a passion and appreciation for diversity, cultures and languages. Dr. Amer dedicates much of her time to non-profit work. She also has an interest in women’s health, particularly human papillomavirus infection (HPV) and female genital mutilation (FGM). She is the author of the book,, a humorous novel about Pathology residents. She also enjoys drawing, and her art pieces have been featured in magazines. Dr. Amer lives between Columbus, Ohio and New Cairo, Egypt.
